National Precision Engineering Specialist Programme
 Our Precision Engineering (PE) capabilities form the backbone of Singapore’s key manufacturing sector. The workforce in the PE industry must be constantly upgraded to equip them with advanced manufacturing capabilities to meet the challenges of tomorrow.
To achieve this, the Singapore Government has launched a $76 million PE Manpower Initiative to train and upgrade 2000 professionals in the PE workforce over the next 5 years.
The National Precision Engineering Specialist Programme is one of the two new programmes introduced under this latest initiative.
This is a structured in-employment upgrading programme whereby the Singapore Government and industry jointly provide special upgrading opportunities for engineering candidates in employment through part-time PE specific diploma or equivalent means.
Programme Outline
- 5-year in-employment training and education programme;
- Training allowance of $20,000;
- Sponsorship for skills upgrading and part-time diploma course.
