Auto-IGNITE
To assist Singapore-based companies to tap into the global automotive market, a national strategic initiative - Automotive InteGrated National Initiative for Tomorrow's Enterprises, or AUTO-IGNITE, has been launched in 2005. AUTO-IGNITE will market Singapore's automotive supporting industry and develop the capabilities of Singapore players in supplying to the automotive industry.
A multi-agency effort by A*STAR, Economic Development Board, International Enterprise Singapore and SPRING Singapore, AUTO-IGNITE aims to develop Singapore's automotive supporting industry into one of international standing. The Auto-Ignite initiative will include programmes such as industry-wide branding exercise, increased marketing activities through international exhibitions and overseas missions, automotive-related manpower, manufacturing and R&D capability development, amongst others.
